There are a variety of activities and excursions near Masorini Bush Lodge. A day of game spotting in the Kruger National Park, a sustainable on the Olifants River or a sporty day of golf at Ba Phalaborwa Resort & Golf Club. There is something for everyone. The Kruger National Park
The famous Kruger Park, with its abundance of animals, is a must visit. Take a guided day tour of drive yourself into the 20,000-square-kilometer Kruger National Park. The park stretches from the Little Drakensberg Mountains to Mozambique. It is comparable to one of the largest parks in the world.
It is the location of the BIG 5, as well as a multitude of plains wildlife, birds and various species of fauna and flora unique to the lowveld. There are several camps with restaurants and picnic areas in the park to pull your legs and a network of roads to ensure you have an authentic nature adventure.
The Kruger National Park is about 20 minutes away from our lodge. This is a must on everyone’s bucket list!
The Panarama Route
The famous Panarama Route extends over two provinces: Mpumalanga and Limpopo. It includes the Blyde River Canyon, one of the largest and greenest canyons in the world. It offers a wealth of attractions, making it one of the most popular routes to explore all of Africa. It offers magnificent views and waterfalls. See the Mac Mac Falls, Bourke’s Luck Potholes, the three rondavels, God’s windows, Graskop and much more.
Blyde Canyon adventure center
Enjoy the splendor of the world’s third largest canyon from the water. A guided tour takes you to the rare living Kadishi Tufa waterfall and the three rondavels. An abundance of wildlife will distract you as you learn more and more about the natural history of the Blyde Canyon.
BA Phalaborwa Resort and Golf Club (Golfing in the wilderness)
BA Phalaborwa Resort & Golf Club golf is located on the outskirts of Phalaborwa. For sporting activities, less than 8 kilometers from Masorini because of an opportunity to play a leisurely round of golf. The golf course is located in a beautiful setting amidst wildlife, which you will find regularly on the course itself.
Elephant River
South of Phalaborwa is the Olifants River. This is one of the largest rivers in the Kruger National Park and is less than a 30-minute drive from Masorini. To get to the Olifants River, you first drive through the largest mine in South Africa and you regularly encounter an elephant. Once you arrive, you can take a horizontal one across the river while enjoying a nice drink and snack. During the inevitable you can enjoy breathtaking views and at the end of the day you can see an amazing sunset. The name Olifants River says it all. From the boot, you will regularly be able to spot elephants, hippos, crocodiles and many other animals in the water or on the shore.
Ziplining @ Magoebaskloof Adventures
For the adrenaline seekers: harness up and fly over the waterfalls of the remote Letaba gorge at Magoebaskloof adventures (7-70y) during a 2 1/2h extended trip is an absolutely an outing not to be missed. You are taken into a previously inaccessible gorge where your platforms are built high against the cliffs, and you pass through native forests high above the Letaba River and its steeply thundering waterfalls. Reservations required.
Viewpoint mine
Phalaborwa is traditionally a mining village. It has the largest opencast mine in South Africa and the third largest in the world. The opencast mine has a diameter of no less than two kilometers. You can drive up by car and from there you have a magnificent view of what Phalaborwa is so proud of.
Bush walk
Take a leisurely bush walk across the vast grounds of Masorini Bush Lodge,
As many as 42 acres of pristine nature.
During the hike, you will follow trails along beautiful spots in the bush. and enjoy the peace and nature around you.
Around you, you can hear different birds and spot antelope such as impala and waterbuck.
A wonderful way to lose yourself in the African bush for a while.

On our grounds you will also find a petanque court, where you can throw a ball in peace.
